Transformer
Transformer is a device that uses the principle of electromagnetic induction to change AC voltage. Its main components are primary coil, secondary coil and iron core (magnetic core).
Transformer classification
The classification of commonly used transformers can be summarized as follows:
1. Divided by phase number: single-phase transformer, three-phase transformer
2. According to the cooling mode: dry-type transformer and oil immersed transformer
3. By use: power transformer, instrument transformer (such as voltage transformer, current transformer, etc.), test transformer, special transformer (such as furnace transformer, rectifier transformer, adjustment transformer, capacitive transformer, phase-shifting transformer, etc.)
4. Divided by winding form: double winding transformer, three winding transformer and autotransformer
5. According to the form of iron core: core transformer, amorphous alloy transformer, shell transformer (such as electric furnace transformer, welding transformer, etc.)
Function of transformer
The main functions of the transformer are: voltage transformation, current transformation, impedance transformation, isolation, voltage stabilization (magnetic saturation transformer), etc.
Circuit diagram symbols of transformers
In the circuit symbol, the transformer is represented by the letter T, which is the abbreviation of English transfromer (transformer).
